Mirabel Olive is One!
Well, Miss Mirabel, it's happened again. My second baby is no longer a baby. Today you turn 1 year old. And I couldn't be happier. You have the brightest smile. A cheese ball laugh. A dimple under your right eye that shows when you crinkle your nose. You have eyelashes a mile long. If you are laying just right in my arm while nursing, you'll give me butterfly kisses with those things as you drift off to sleep. You greet people with the most flirty wave saying, "Hi. Hi. Hi." You have eight teeth. You really started walking about a week ago and it has given you a whole new outlook on life. You are so much fun! You are still sleeping great. I'm still holding on to 3 nursing sessions a day with you. I have a feeling you really could care less, but I'm going to try to keep our close, quiet times together for a little while longer. I have so loved being your mamma this past year. A trying year. Full of sleepless nights, lots of hugs, a few tears (some happy, some sad), so many smiles, cold coffee, tantrums, giggles, messes, and so much more. As I try to write out a list, so many memories flash through my mind just from this past year. I'm so grateful to be able to spend my mornings with you and your big sister. There's never a quiet moment for me, but I promise you, I would never trade this time for anything. I've loved having you as my baby (and I guess you really always will be), but I'm so, so excited to see you grow and for all the fun that is to come! I'm not looking back with sadness that you are 1 today. I'm so proud to be your mama, you little sweetheart. You are so loved by so many people around you. Praise be to God for you, Mirabel Olive. Hugs.
